Flat Earth I, II & III
Persistence of the Mare
She makes ready to Destroy
Sometimes I saw the ground move beneath my feet. From several paces it sped up and got sucked past in a blur. The world had already gone by before I noticed it was there. Those interminable steel corners. But I wouldn’t like to pass judgment.
She held me down by my neck. She wouldn't stop and everybody saw.
You can read about genius. But remember what the sky looked like when we could turn out the lights.
Sentience of the Egg
Bite and Crack
Flesh. Hanging in the sun as we shift around the dirt.
Breathless curtains and fat heads. A pain shot through my side and you slump back into the fog.
A kind lady offered me milk. Clicking on and off, the bed was full of ants but I could hear the sea.
Our Digital Future
We have built a democracy whereby we orient our culture through visual representation. But the codes to which these systems of identity adhere are narrowing to stricter ideals and moving away from the truth of our condition. We push one another into a destructive quest to be anything but ourselves yet revel in reflection. Tiresias gives caution. Participate. The internet represents the pinnacle of this dynamic. The largest economy in the world in the history of our time, it is predicated on the manufacture of aspiration. It poses, at once the greatest potential and the greatest threat to our way of life. Dead or alive, we are citizens of The World.
Animals of the Time
It’s all they ever talk about so who can tell? Knick knack, gadget, pot to piss in, my love. Don’t touch my stuff.
It was raining ash on top of the mound today.
I found the workers and they made no sound.
An angry man with a sponge, a red bird from a distance.
The Advancement of Men
The vultures and the fighting cocks, buckets and plastic trees. Whitewash over everything that dares stand still. Mirrored windows and doors proudly painted.
Dig a hole or head to higher ground.
